Megan Nichols, M.D., is a Retina Specialist & Vitreoretinal Surgeon at NJRetina. Dr. Nichols earned her medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia followed by a Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia where she was Chief Resident. She then completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases & Surgery at Beth Israel Lahey Health in greater Boston.
Dr. Nichols sees patients in need of specialized diagnosis and treatment of all types of retina diseases, conditions & problems including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and other macular diseases, diabetic retinopathy (DR), retinal vascular disease, retinal detachment & tears, retinal membranes and retinal holes among others. She performs all types of retina injections and retina laser treatment in our offices, and a wide range of retina surgery including scleral buckle surgery, vitrectomy surgery and pneumatic and laser retinopexy for those patients in need of surgical treatments to preserve or restore vision.
Dr. Nichols is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS).
