Dr. Vincent Y. Ho joined NJRetina in 2016. He graduated cum laude from the Schreyer Honors College at the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and was elected to the Phi Eta Sigma and Omega Chi Epsilon honor societies. Dr. Ho graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and received distinction for his academic, research, and leadership achievements including Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Arnold P. Gold Foundation Gold Humanism Honor Society, and the College of Medicine’s leadership award for his role as class president.
He completed his transitional year at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and ophthalmology residency training program at Emory University. Dr. Ho then pursued a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at The Retina Institute (formerly Barnes Retina Institute at Washington University) in St. Louis, Missouri, one of the most prestigious training programs in the country.
Dr. Ho has numerous publications in scientific journals and periodicals, has participated in clinical trials and presented at national and international meetings on a range of topics such as retinal detachments, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disorders, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, advanced surgical techniques, and ocular imaging. He has served as a peer reviewer for major ophthalmologic journals and is on the medical staff of both Clara Maass Medical Center and Bergen Passaic Cataract Surgery and Laser Center.
Dr. Ho enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He participates in numerous outdoor sports including snowboarding, hiking, tennis, and was previously a qualifier for the New York and Boston marathons.
