We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, Office Assistant to work in our busy RETINA practice. This full-time position includes Administrative and Billing responsibilities to include:

  • Greeting Patients
  • Checking in/out patients
  • Scheduling Appointments
  • Obtaining all appropriate consent forms
  • Requesting Prior Authorizations
  • Billing
  • Calling on Insurance companies/verify coverage
  • Enter information in computer system
  • Filing Charts
  • Assisting all staff
  • Setting up appointment for tests
  • Ability to multi-task

Job Requirements

  • Front Desk Medical Office experience a MUST
  • Must have medical office experience with insurance and billing
  • Ophthalmology Specialty experience preferred but not required
  • Computer Skills
  • Friendly demeanor to handle patients
  • Ability to work in a busy office
  • Detail Oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
