Inventory Specialist

We are seeking an organized, diligent, and responsible inventory specialist to join our growing team. In this position, you will manage inventory using a computerized database system and a variety of spreadsheets. Your primary objective will be to order and maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily injection demands while minimizing excess supply.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and evaluate stock rotation procedures
  • Monitor inventory at the site locations and evaluate appropriate safety stock levels based on usage and office manager inputs
  • Order medical drugs for all locations, utilizing the Drug Inventory Management Portal, weekly
  • Maintain and evaluate inventory records, monthly
  • Train office staff in product dating and create procedures to eliminate loss
  • Create an efficient space utilization plan – including researching medical grade refrigerators and incorporating Wi-Fi temp gauges in all offices
  • Monitor all fridge temps using a cloud-based thermometer portal
  • Alert Supply Chain Manager of any surges in temperatures
  • Notify Supply Chain Manager of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
  • Instruct office staff on proper procedures for locating and utilizing product inventory
  • Identify and resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, utilization, loss
  • Create a process to monitor and process all office Spoilages in an efficient and timely manner
  • Update a Spoilage Reconciliation Report and provide changes to Accounting
  • Work with Accounting to complete the month end inventory reconciliation process

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or other relevant discipline
  • Experience: 1-5 years

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent math and accounting skills
  • Experience in purchasing and inventory control management
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Must be very detail-oriented
  • Strong working knowledge of Inventory management methodologies
  • Expert level Excel user with demonstrable Pivot Table skill in data collection and assessment
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
