Electro-oculography (EOG) and electroretinography (ERG)

Electroretinography (ERG) and electro-oculography (EOG) are eletrophysiological tests similar in many ways to the more familiar electrocardiogram (EKG) used routinely to test the electric activity of the heart. ERG and EOG test the electric functioning of the tiny cells of the retina. They are used when patients are suspected of having degenerative or inherited retinal disorders.
