Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a low powered laser which reacts with a photosensitizing dye to cause destruction of the abnormal blood vessels and inhibit future growth. The dye is administered intravenously and will make you sensitive to sunlight and halogen light. It is essential to avoid any bright source of light for 5 days following the treatment.
